Pet care experience
I have 3 dogs back home that I have helped raise. The first 2 were a family effort, but the youngest pup I trained all myself! This involved crate-training, potty-training, and teaching fun tricks. I also have an understanding of the needs of older dogs with limited mobility and trouble eating. My oldest pup is 13 years old! I am great at handling multiple dogs at a time on walks or just managing safe playtime between them. I love seeing all of my dogs play together but I also know the signs of stress they may be expressing during playtime and how to deescalate a situation. I also have dog sat 3 bigger hunting dogs before so I have some experience with bigger dogs.

In my home I take my 3 dogs on 2 walks a day. They are currently back in my home state with my parents while I am in school so I am looking for some dogs to fill that void! I'm a big fan of teaching fun tricks and running with them outside. I also love cuddling up with them at the end of a long day. Nothing is more precious than them falling asleep in my lap!

A typical day
With the dogs I watch I will do what they like to do! If they are high energy I will go on walks, run around in the yard, throw around a tennis ball, or play tug of war with toys. If they are lower energy I will play with their toys and give them lots of belly rubs! I also think dog enrichment toys are fun and would be willing to prep some of those for them to play with. As much is allowed, I can also have a heavy hand with treats! It is fun and enriching to teach dogs new tricks. Locations of walks would depend on the location of the dog, but I am more than willing to explore different areas or the pup's favorite spots!

Availability
I'm currently a graduate student with mostly afternoon classes. I am free most mornings 6am-12pm. I also have some night availability during the week! Weekend availability is dependent on the weekend.
