Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs and have recently got my own puppy Doris. We have had several dog guests so far and Doris has loved having the company. Doris has taken part in several training courses and is doing well with her continued training. I have a spare room in my home so if your dog requires a bit more quiet time or if they are a little nervous i can easily accomodate this. I work from home and do flexible time so will often be out in exmouth or dartmoor for an afternoon run around. I have loved the dogs I have been caring for over the last 6 months and would love to have yours come and stay too. Daily updates will always be provided as to how your dog is enjoying their stay and ensuring you are reassured. If your dog has any special requirements I am more then happy to discuss if I could accommodate this in my home.

We were worried about leaving our 10 month old but we are so happy to have found Sarah! She had our pup for 2 weeks when we went on holiday and he had a brilliant time. We really appreciated the regular video and photo updates throughout his stay. We feel like he’s been away on holiday too. We definitely recommend Sarah (and Doris) and hope to use her again next time we go away.
We have 2 quite large and strong dogs so were a little wary of leaving them with Sarah. However, we needn't have worried. She was brilliant at looking after them and took them on long walks, managing to control them even whenever a dreaded cat appeared. So, to sum up, we were very happy with her and would have no hesitation in recommending her to other clients looking for a competent dog sitter. We have already booker her in for our summer holiday.

I have a small courtyard garden which is entirely enclosed. Doris is crate trained and will always be fed separately to your dog. As a general rule Doris will sleep in her crate but I have had dogs stay who are not crate trained and prefer to sleep on the bed. She is still only 10 months so training is ongoing so plenty of treats available on any walks we take.

A typical day
I have a large park just around the corner from my house so morning walks will be over there. During the day I try to get a bit further afield down to the river or a different environment to ensure walks are enriching and not always the same and then evening walks will usually be in the park or as it will be getting lighter we love a trip out to the beach or to dartmoor!

Doris and I will be out for 3 45 minute walks a day during the week we will often take a trip out a bit further afield to keep walks engaging. The weekends are filled with long walks around Dartmoor/Woodbury or beaches close by.
