Pet care experience

Welcome 🤎 From both experience, and certification training, I’m confidently equipped to handle any pet with safety. I’ve doctored 2 dog births now, and in my ‘off’ time, I am a behavioral specialist with a local animal shelter.

I booked Sarah for a 3 day house sit in my apartment with my senior dog. I can say Sarah was clean, friendly, and was responsive when I messaged her. However, I had some concerns upon my return that my instructions weren’t fully followed throughout the stay. During the booking request process, Sarah confirmed that my dog shouldn’t be left longer than 5 hours with her schedule. I prefaced that she can be alone for 5 hours, but anything longer is typically when she needs a potty break. I explained I usually walk her 3 times morning, afternoon, and evening for 20-30 mins and a quick potty break before bed. I requested that she walk my dog in between the 5 hour periods and stay the night. Sarah agreed to this over message and during the meet and greet. The first day of the stay went accordingly. On the second day, my front door ring showed that my dog had been left alone from 10:45 am to 5:45 pm (7 hours), followed by a <10 minute potty break, and left alone again from 5:55 pm - 12:30 am (6.5 hours). I messaged Sarah politely asking about it and reiterated that I prefer to leave her alone for 5 hours, maybe 6 max. Sarah reassured that my dog was getting a minimum of 3 10-20 minute walks a day (weather permitting). She also shared that the next day she only had one meeting and that my dogs care was scheduled in between 5 hour rotating windows. However, I returned home the next day at 6:45 pm, 30 minutes after Sarah had left for the end of the stay, to find my dog had an accident in the apartment. This prompted me to check my Ring to find my dog was let out for <10 minute potty break in the morning, left alone again from 10:30 am to 6 pm (7.5 hours), before being let out for <5 minutes before Sarah left for the end of stay. I do not feel as though the instructions I left and that we agreed on were followed consistently and with proper communication. I do not believe this was a good fit and I would not rebook.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful! She let me book my dog Mickey when it was very last minute and sent several updates while she was there. Would definitely use Sarah again and would highly recommend to anyone needing her services. Thank you again, Sarah! Mick sure did enjoy her vacay! :)

I have a fenced in backyard that no dog turns down! My personal dogs love running their zoomies out, and even more so with fur friends! I will gladly group all big dogs together, and all small dogs together. I want everyone to be as comfortable as possible! I don’t tolerate bullying, so I will separate if necessary, for the comfort of each pet. All play time is supervised.

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet

I want to ensure a smooth transition for all, so: Do your animals have anxious tendencies? Does your animal guard their food or need separation when eating? Do they get along well with other Dogs/Cats? Any specific allergies or medication they take? What are their feeding/potty schedules?

A typical day

A typical day’s activity can range depending on the pet. Of course play sessions with the other doggies in the home, is an ideal starting point. Often walks are guaranteed, if allowed! I also have puzzle toys on hand for anxious pups, several chewing bones, stuffed toys, and ropes! If your baby has a favorite, please bring it for them! It’ll help them feel a little more comfortable.
