Pet care experience
I have two small dogs, so for boarding and daycare, I can only take non-aggressive dogs that get along with other dogs. A meet-and-greet with my dogs is ideal for any dog who will be staying at my house. I grew up with dogs my entire life, and I've been pet-sitting for about 15 years. I love dogs of all sizes and breeds. I currently have two little dachshunds who are the lights of my life. One of my pups in special needs (in a wheelchair) so I have first-hand, long-term experience caring for pets that need extra help and administering medications. I have experience pet sitting, both in my home and in the client's home. Working from home with flexible hours allows me to spend plenty of one-on-one time with your dog, taking them for frequent walks and potty breaks. I like to let your dog set the pace. If they like to play and are frequently active, I'll take them for extra walks, playtime outside, and even to the dog park (if you'd like). If your dog is more laid-back and likes to spend time resting, I'd be happy to let your dog just spend time on my lap while I work. About My Dogs I have an 11-year old dachshund named Franz and a 6-year-old dachshund named Ralphie. They are both rescues with lots of personality. They love to play and cuddle and get along well with other small dogs.

Sarah was really wonderful with our elderly dog, dropping in while we were away. She spent quality time with her and was patient with her mobility challenges and other special needs. She attended to our house when she visited, keeping an eye on things that looked out of place. She really went above and beyond keeping us informed and our dog comfortable. Found Sarah after a last minute cancellation and was blessed to find an attentive, honest and compassionate care giver for my two pups. Returning home, the dogs were happy and seemed well cared for. Sarah is AMAZING! She graciously accepted my very last minute Christmas booking for 3 drop in visits with my cat. Not only did she let me know through the app when her visit started and ended, but she sent pictures daily, each with a mini update too!! I live on 2/3 acre and have a fenced in backyard with lots of shade, so there is plenty of room for pups to run around. For drop-ins and walks, I will make sure your dog is on a leash and secure before we leave.

Before sitting your dog, I'd like to know: - What is their routine (when they typically take potty breaks, eat meals, take medications, etc.)? - What is their general personality? Are they more hyper or relaxed? Are there any quirks I should be aware of? - Do they have any allergies? I'd love to have your vet info just in case. - Are they treated for fleas? Up-to-date rabies vaccination? - Are they crate trained? They don't have to be, but I like to stick to their normal routine even when I leave the house. Getting to know your pet, their likes/dislikes, and their schedule helps me create a more comfortable environment for them.
A typical day
I like to let your dog set the pace. If they like to go for long walks or spend some time at the dog park, I will make sure that they get plenty of play time. If they'd rather play with toys inside or cuddle while watching a movie, I will also oblige. I also have a fenced-in backyard for off-leash play time.

Availability
I work from home and set my own hours, so I have plenty of time for potty breaks, walks, and play time. I like to let your dog set the pace, so if they are more high-energy, we will play or walk often. But if they prefer to chill on the couch, that's cool too!
