I grew up with a Springer Spaniel -- she was my older sister. I have had cats although I do not have any in my home right now. I had a mom and two of her children. and they all lived long lives. Now, I have a rescue Chihuahau who, despite his breed's reputation, is a total sweetheart. If your dog stays with me, he/she will be the recipient of many kisses from him. He loves to walk and so I am used to walking long distances. I let him chose the way unless I'm under time pressure. My grandfather was a horse whisperer and this "superpower" is something I share, although I don't have a lot of experience with horses -- I also have a good rapport with animals.
