Dogs dig me.

Pet care experience

I am a dog owner without a dog. My dog Sheba passed away years ago and I haven't met my new dog yet. However, I am the ultimate dog auntie. I have been dog-sitting for the last 15 years and have references. I'm looking to walk and care for dogs as a way to balance my new career. Two years ago, I graduated with a masters of psychology and have started a mental health therapy practice. Walking and caring for dogs is a way for me to get out of the therapy room and walk while getting time with dogs. Caring for other people's animals is serious. They are your family. When I take care of your dog, you can feel assured that they will not only be fed and let out but I will play and entertain them. Your dog will be well cared for while you are away. My therapy practice is in the afternoons and evenings. My dog walking and home visits are from 9 to 2:30 p.m. during the week. Weekends are more flexible however, I do like to get outside and hike. When I'm dog/house sitting, I follow the rules of your house. If approved, I'd love to take your dog outside with me.

Sarah is great! We have used Sarah for dog walking our high energy pup, Lilli. Sarah takes Lilli in stride, keeps her in check, and also lets her be a pup. I like Sarah's energy around Lilli, alot. My husband & I were out walking Lilli one day and we randomly ran into Sarah. Lilli IMMEDIATELY recognized her and was pulling to go greet her friend. Sarah is dependable, on time, responsible. She has been flexible to meet some schedule changes I've had. And she's nice! She is super personable. We definitely hope to book Sarah again soon.

Sarah has been dog-sitting for my wife and I for about three years now, for at least two weeks a year (and usually more) when we’re on vacation, and is amazing. She first watched when we had two dogs, Sookie and Rory, both Rottweiler mixes, so big and friendly (Sookie, the older, has recently passed away, and now she watches our remaining dog). She is incredibly reliable, and super loving towards our dog – he now even gets excited when he hears her car pulling up. We’ve also have some complicated dietary restrictions, and she always sticks to them, and makes sure necessary supplements and all that are given. She just stays in our house with him (it feels best), and makes sure he gets out and get exercise and gets treats – but not too many! Which is good, because Rory can be a bit of a beggar. She also sends us tons of pictures while we’re gone, which is fantastic. Overall, I can’t think of a better person than Sarah to take care of Rory when we’re not there!

Sarah has always been there in my time of need when I have to be away from my pups. She has proven herself over and over about being a resposible caregiver to my furry kids, even when they get into mischief she has taken control of the situation and made sure no harm has come.

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet

I think it's important to know a few things about your dog before walking or sitting for them. Some examples would be: does your dog play well with others; is there a breed your dog doesn't like for example the dog in my profile picture does not like boxers; how is your dogs with other humans (adult and children); and what are your rules for your dog. I can handle any breed or size.

A typical day

When dog sitting, I follow the rules of the house. If your dog is a dog park dog, we will go on adventures around Seattle. I have found fun parks in Shoreline and Edmonds as well as the parks in Seattle. I also enjoy taking dogs on hikes with me.
