A loving and experienced dog mom
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, three German shepherds and I currently am the proud dog mom of a rescued black Labrador retriever named Lady. My close friends growing up owned smaller dogs and cats, so I’m familiar with pets of all size! I even owned fish for a while. I raised two puppies, so I know all there is to know about potty training, treat and command training, and crate training. Being surrounded by dogs my whole life, I’m great at recognizing their mannerisms and I know which foods they can and cannot have, or when they may be nervous or in pain. I’m also familiar with care for older dogs. I often would help my shepherds in old age climb stairs, and break up their treats to make it easier. Being a dog owner currently, I can also handle medication.
Reviews
Sarah was very polite, easy to work with, always kept up communication and took care of our pups well! I will be reaching out for her services again.
You really don’t need to keep searching for a dog walker, you’ve found her! Sarah is the right person because she is a devoted dog mom herself. Her love for animals, responsible nature, and experience make her the perfect choice to ensure your furry friend is in good hands. You can trust her to keep your fur baby entertained and tire them out!
Sarah is a loving and responsible pet owner and carer. I’ve known her for 16 years and she has always owned 1 or more dogs. She makes sure they are fed, walked, hydrated and loved. Every pet she meets, she treats like her own. She understands that pets are family and makes sure to treat any animal she encounters that way.

Safety, trust & environment
The number one connection that you can make after meeting or revisiting any pet for the first time is trust. I believe it is important for any animal to gain my trust especially around new people, smells, or environments. It’s important to be gentle with animals and take steps to ensure they feel safe in your presence. My dog lady is a rescue dog with severe anxiety. She is scared of loud noises and will often shake. Over our years together I’ve been able for develop ways to help her calm down and feel safe in my home. Spending my whole life with dogs has given me time to understand their body language and personality. If they’re trying to tell me something (like they’re stressed or it’s time to go outside) I’ll know. I keep Lady on a routine each day with her potty and feeding schedule, so she knows what to expect and when. That’s something that reflects in my dog sitting. Playtime and cuddles are also very important! They are little fur kids after all, and deserve to live a happy and enriching life. In terms of dog walking, I always make sure the dog is furthest from any passing car, and I place myself between the road and my pets. I find this way is better and you have a greater level of control if you run into any other animals or people while on a walk. I am from Philly, but I lived in Texas for two years, and with such a changing climate, I’m really great at understanding when a dog may be reacting to the weather. If it’s too hot or cold I’ll usually feel the ground before a walk to make sure it’s safe enough for paws without using booties. I also always carry doggy bags and a portable water bowl.

Availability
I always make time to care for my dog, even on my busiest days. I work full time, four, ten hour days (Thurs-Sun). Lady gets walks every single day, and she eats twice a day. Every morning she gets fresh refrigerated water, and after every potty she gets a treat. Being a rescue, she actually does not take any interest in toys, so I use other interactive things like treat maps and intelligent toys to keep her mind busy. She also loves car rides, so they’re a frequent activity. Above all however, she gets cuddles every day.
