Having had dogs in our lives ranging from Schnauzers, Spaniels, Labs, Retrievers, Vizslas, Pointer crosses to English Mastiff, we appreciate the importance of having a healthy balance in a dog’s routine. We aim to achieve this through the right combination of exercise, nutrition, affection/attention/mental stimulation and rest. With our love for dog-walking, caring for dogs combined with sensible feeding routines and with the assistance of our resident dog, we aim to provide a warm and friendly environment in a family setting for all our guest dogs. Our goal is to give your dog the experience which is most appropriate for his/her specific situation but most of all, to ensure a kind and loving family environment during his/her stay with us. We will discuss your dog’s needs and agree what combination of exercise, play, socialisation, nutrition and rest your dog requires. We currently have a super friendly, playful, laid-back flat-coated retriever at home. If required, our large garden can be sectioned of into smaller parts and we have a basket full of toys for (indoor) play as well. We live near open fields without livestock and dog friendly parks, which we have access to and will use in accordance with the needs of your dog. Whether it is 20 minutes of supervised play in the garden or 2 hours of brisk walking in the countryside, we will always make sure your dog gets the exercise (s)he needs. We would describe ourselves as cautious dog handlers who would never take any risks with the well-being of any dog. We will send you regular updates with pictures, videos and comments to keep you informed what your dog(s) have been up to via the Rover app and we have a car available for trips future afield or emergency situations. For added peace of mind, we have successfully completed a CPD accredited Dog First Aid Course and have access to a 24/7 veterinarian clinic if required.
