They say, do what you love. I love caring for dogs. I'm already the pet-sitter for a handful of my friends when they go out of town simply because I love caring for their dogs. To me, it's an ideal situation. I'm so glad that I found this website. It means that I will have the opportunity to spend my time caring for more dogs. Also, I live near two different parks that are perfect for dog walking. To be honest, I've taken pics of the dogs I care for but not that many with me in the pic. What you can see from the pics I do have is that I love to cuddle with dogs and they with me. (Just a note about timing. If your pet is dropped off before 7pm, I charge for the day. Similar if your pet is picked up after 12pm, I charge for the day. Rover is limited in that it only charges by the night.)

I always ask my clients about their dog(s). What are they allergic to? What might cause them to want to run off (on a leash) (I like to brace myself for these things.) LOL How often should they be fed and how much? Are they injured or sore anywhere? Basically I always say, Please tell me as much as you can about your dog. The more I know the more comfortable I can make things for them.
A typical day
I love to snuggle with dogs. If it's alright with the owners and the dogs are clean (which I request) I let them up on my couch and my bed. I always take dogs I care for out for a walk at least twice per day, but not when it's hot and the ground can burn their feet. I work from home as a property manager and a Web Designer, so I can adjust to my four legged friend's needs.
