We love snuggly doggies

Pet care experience

We started Rover sitting November of 2022 after we lost our senior (16.5yr old hound) so we have lots of love to give to other fur friends. We have experience with the needs that come along with aging dogs (medications/special foods etc). Our neighborhood has lots of nice walking trails to take dogs as well as is located across the street from the Canyons base ski area. Comfort was a must for our hound so we have lots of blankets and couch space for fur friends. While we don’t have a true backyard, we do have a little gated off porch area that acts as a second barrier for escape as well as a quick potty break area for dogs who prefer to do their business off leash. I (Sara) am working a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days I will be in the office) and Billy is working from home, so someone is almost always available to take a dog out whenever the dog lets us know or on a frequency recommended. We currently don’t have dogs/animals in our home so we can accept dogs who may be more picky of other animals, just let us know and we can block out the dates for other clients. We always leash dogs past that gate. Like mentioned before, the gate acts as a second barrier if your pup is more of an escape artist. We are able to log in as a sitter to your pets FI collar if desired so you can track their walks. Many dogs live in the area and 99% are friendly based on our interactions, but if your pup is more fearful we will avoid other pups or pick them up as needed.

Sara and William are beyond the best! We felt like we had left G with family. They were so sweet with her. They were extremely responsive and sent so many updates. We would love to use them any time we can.

Sara and Billy were utterly amazing! Seems my pup Bruiser had the time of her life and hardly even missed me while staying away with Sara and Billy. They both went out of their way to care for Bruiser and give her lots of cuddle time (her favorite). I would highly recommend them for future stays. Easy drop off and pick up. Great communication included many times a day updates with pictures!

We were very happy with the care Sara and Billy provided to our dog while we visited Park City. We had great communication both before and during the time they watched Lily. I would not hesitate to book them again!

Safety, trust & environment

Every dog that comes into our home will be treated as if it were our own. Our goals is to make them feel like they are right at home and they are involved in most everything we do. We are 100% okay with dogs snuggling up on the couch and with the blankets. Whenever the dog leaves the house we will use the leash/harness provided as well as any winter gear provided. For boarding, we ask for everyone’s safety that we know their sleep routine and have an honest picture of behaviors. If they are a late night mischief type of pup and a kennel is the best bet for a safe peaceful night or if they are cuddly bed hog who prefer the human bed/ couch are both perfectly great with us. And we can always adjust as we get to know your pup better.

Any special dietary restrictions/treat allergies. How the dog typically handles walks and interacts with other animals on walks. If the dog is protective over food/any reactivity to be aware of. Vaccination status is requested and required for stays including any puppies. We also request that you pack safe chewing toys for dogs who may still be going through that phase.

A typical day

We love to go on walks around the neighborhood, we have many different loops we do that can vary from short to long depending on the animals need. We are also very used to lazy snuggly animals so we have lots of blankets and pillows to accommodate that.

Availability

Sara is working a hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week at work). William works remotely and does ride-sharing so he is always close. Pups will never be left alone for more than a couple hours and we can adjust to shorter intervals depending on the pups needs. We are flexible with wake-up times depending on dog needs and can take them out regularly. For higher energy dogs, we request a booking on the weekend to get to know them and their quirks to make sure we are all a good fit for the weekday since we are able to dedicate the most time then.
