Pet care experience
I'm Sara. I'm 22 years old. I have a 2 year old dog of my own, Bean. She's little but she doesn't know it. Bean loves making friends, regardless of size. I also have a 5 month old dog—who is already fifty pounds! His name is Finn. He’s got energy for days and will gladly tire out any pups he gets to hang out with. He’s working on learning his name with varying levels of distraction! My work schedule is variable and flexible, and I won't accept a client if I feel I will be unable to give their dog exceptional care. I don't like to keep my dog inside for more than 2 hours at a time. We have a ridiculous toy collection, with everything from fluffy things with squeakers to Kong teasers and chewers to ropes (and yes, the dogs play tug-of-war together!). I have amateur experience training dogs of all ages. I know my Finn is going to be huge one day, so I’ve recently been working especially hard to understand and practice positive reinforcement techniques.
Reviews
Sara Waite would make an excellent dog walker/ sitter because of her experience with taking care of her own dog and with taking care of her roommate's dog. Sara is a kind, loving, caring, and personable human being who is wonderful at helping others. She takes care of her own dog every day, walking her, making her special food to meet dietary needs, and loving her so that she stays happy. Sara is great at taking responsibility for other living things, such as pets. She is always attuned to what her dog needs, as well as being attuned to what her roommate's dog needs.

Information Sara W. would like to know about your pet
I like to know about aggressions—leash, food, toy, territory, “flock”, other dogs, humans or certain types of humans (for example, Bean barks at men in hats), small animals, etc. What stresses him or her out? Thunder, vacuums, construction, people, etc. What’s their favorite toy? Do they chase anything you throw, or prefer balls or ropes? Is there a toy they are unwilling to share? Do they chew through everything you give them? What kind of snacks do they eat? Any allergies or intolerances? Any taste or texture preferences? What are the frustrating behaviors they do? Chewing, peeing to mark territory or out of excitement or fear, humping, jumping, nipping, escaping, etc. How do they usually act? Is it normal for them to be rambunctious or sleepy? Do they always look afraid? How do they signal that they need to go outside? What behavior is cause for concern? Are there any special rituals? Feeding at specific times, going on specific walks, using the bathroom in the same place, or cuddling up with the same toy at night?
A typical day
I like to walk at the Arboretum by my house! We sometimes go to French Broad Park, too.
