Dog Lover with a Heart for Cats!
Pet care experience
I have 1 year's experience working at a doggie daycare in Asheville, NC, and another 8 months working at a pet supply store, both of which taught me so much about proper both dog and cat training, care, and nutrition! I feel innately comfortable around animals and have an eye for subtle body language cues. Previous to the doggie play care, I did pet sitting for friends and family with a variety of dogs and cats, all with different needs. I can administer oral medications (liquid or pill), and do topical and ear care for both dogs and cats, so no worries if your fur babies need a little medical care!

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I am respectful of other's living spaces and pick up well after myself. I am also highly practiced at entering and exiting rooms without letting furry escape artists through (having two myself at the moment). I make sure to maintain a calm, but fun environment, and love to give snuggles and comfort to a potentially anxious pet. I am also well aware of the potential hazards that pets might get into, and do my best to reduce any environmental risks to the safety of your pet - such as hazardous substances or breakable objects.
Information Sara W. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know if your dog has any favorite toys or games, if they are leash-aggressive or resource-guarding (both are OK but this gives me information on what's going to make your dog feel safest and happiest) and if your dog has any favorite places to go! I would also like to know if there are specific medications, training techniques, etc that I would need to administer.
A typical day
I love to take dogs to the Valle Crucis Community Park, near the original Mast General Store, it's a really fun place to wander and has some nice green spaces to investigate! I also enjoy giving lots of snuggles and playing fetch if there is a fenced-in yard!

Availability
I'm currently in college at ASU and have another part-time job. I'm usually available Mondays and Fridays afternoons, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays all day, and Sundays after 2:30pm. I'm rarely unavailable late nights or for more than 8 hours at a time, so overnight stays are no problem for me! My partner also has his own dog sitting business, and if your pet needs more frequent drop ins he would be happy to help out!
