Pet care experience
Hi I'm Sara! I am a senior this year and will be going to college for animal science with a pre vet concentration! I am currently employed at a dog boarding facility and have been for over a year. I also volunteer at Bellevue Animal Hospital every week, and work closely with dogs and cats. I've been trained to work with special needs dogs, extra large dogs such as mastiffs and great danes, strong pullers, fear based aggressive dogs, and more. I'm available after school, 3:30 pm, and all day Saturday. I work on Sundays from 2:30 to 9pm, but I am available in the morning! I have experience with giving dogs oral medications, injected medications, dogs with special needs like narcolepsy or seizures, and can rearrange activities or schedules based on the dogs personal needs.

Sara is a great care taker for animals. She personally has tons of animals and she volunteers at a vet so I would trust her with any of my animals.
Sara has a ton of pets ranging from dogs to lizards to bunnies and she takes wonderful care of them. She also works with dogs/animals every single day at her job and genuinely care for the animals she works with. I've also trusted her to take care of my dogs when I went on vacation and they were happy and healthy when I got back!

Before sitting a dog or doing any activities with dogs, I would like to know if there is a history of aggression, what medication, if any, your dog is on, any special needs, or any particular behaviors that your dog does or has a problem with. For example, I would like to know if your dog does not like their head being touched, or has a problem with harnesses or leashes being put on. My goal is to keep your dog safe and happy! I have no breed preferences or believe in any breed stereotypes. I have worked and taken care of many breeds and firmly believe that certain dog breeds are not better than other ones.
A typical day
I have a 10 month old pitbull mix puppy at home that loves to walk around a dog friendly park close to my house. In Edwin Warner Park, there is also a dog park that I also take my dog to, which is her favorite part. At my work I am taught how to watch dogs' behaviors during group play to make sure everyone involved is safe and having fun. Depending on what you are looking for with your dog, and what your dog most enjoys, I will make sure your dog gets the exercise they need all the while having fun. I am up for any ideas and activities that you know your dog enjoys!
