Teacher, Dog, and Cat Mama!
Pet care experience
I've taken care of pets for over 25 years. Started with my mom's cats when I was younger (feeding, giving water, cleaning litter boxes), to now having my own pets. I've walked dogs for many of miles, cleaned up messes as soon as they happen, and worked with senior pups. My own two dogs are also senior dogs, one of which who takes medicine daily to help her heart, so I am familiar with medical dispensing. I've also taken care of big dogs and small dogs (as we have a Poodle and a Papillon ourselves). We've also had an English Bulldog, Tucker, who lived out 9 happy years on this Earth, so I am familiar with messy dogs and how to clean up after them (drool, anyone?).

Sara took excellent care of my two kitties while I was away. It was my first time leaving them with a Rover sitter and I felt at peace knowing they were in caring and competent hands. They received plenty of attention and play during her visits so they wouldn’t be bored and take out their frustration on the furniture or each other! Sara ensured they had plenty of food and water and also kept the litter box clean and tidy. I absolutely loved the communication after each visit, including pictures and videos and a description of the visit! I would highly recommend Sara as a sitter for your precious kitties.
Sara has an extensive knowledge of how to bond with animals, as she has been taking care of animals her whole life. She demonstrates compassion and patience with all beings, attuning her own behavior to suite the animals’ needs. She adopted her own two dogs by rescuing them: one off the street and one whose owners had suddenly passed. She has taken care of my five cats multiple times; I’ve never had a complaint about the way she interacts with and cares for my animals. Sara has gone above and beyond with taking care of my pets, spending time with each of them and visiting more frequently that I had expected (a great thing!). I would highly recommend her to care for any animal on Rover.

While I cannot offer my home to your dogs, I am happy to walk with them even in the dark. I can ensure that we are well lit (safety vest, reflectors) so that we will not run into any trouble. I also am very organized, so I like to keep notes on each animal that crosses my path to ensure they are receiving the proper care (medicines in a timely manner, fed at appropriate times, etc).

I would love to know if your pet has any special needs or cares that I need to work with - dispensing medication, ensuring they stay out of a specific room, etc.
A typical day
I would love to take your dogs on a walk at the local park if possible! If not, a walk around the neighborhood you live in would be great, too. I would love to play tug and fetch with your pup, ensuring they are tired by the time the evening rolls around so they can wind down and sleep in the evening. For cats, I'd love to play with feathers or strings so that they can get worn out, too!

Availability
Currently, I am a full time teacher. I am available on the weekends beginning Friday evening through Sunday evening. I am not necessarily available in the daytime during the week, but am happy to help in the evenings Monday through Thursday.
