Pet care experience
I can't remember a time in my house that we didn't have at least one dog snoozing in the sun somewhere. When I was a kid I was less the caregiver and more the wrestling and tag partner, but I watched my mother raise two dogs from puppies with equal parts love and discipline, and rescue a third off the racetrack who could barely walk on linoleum floors without shaking with anxiety. Dogs are the most welcoming, forgiving, nonjudgmental living things anyone could share a home with. I would like to help keep home feeling like home even when the pooch's parents are away. I'm used to every energy level, from border collie to greyhound, and every size. I have experience with all ages, from puppy to oldie, and whatever degree of discipline an owner could want or a dog could need. I want to keep things as stable for your pets as possible.
Reviews
Sara did a wonderful job taking care of my girl. She kept us updated and was very flexible when our plans changed. I highly recommend her!
Sara has grown up with dogs since age 4. She personally adopted a rescue greyhound at the age of 12. He became her best friend. She had completed several dog sitting positions during breaks throughout college, and had been invited back by multiple employers. She loves dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer whatever care the owners ask of me; the more I can make your pets feel like you aren't even away, the better. I can drop in for feeding times and walks, or I can spend the majority of my time with your animals if you feel that would be preferable for their wellbeing.
Information Sara T. would like to know about your pet
I need to know how comfortable the dog is with strangers, how territorial they tend to be, if they ever demonstrate food aggression and if they have any no-pet spots. I am a dog person, but it only takes one English mastiff charging out of a dark room with teeth bared to remind a person that every dog is different.
A typical day
My goal is make your pet forget you're away. Anything they do as a normal routine will remain part of the normal routine. I love walks of any length, especially trail walks. If your dogs are used to runs on the leash, I regularly do that myself and would be happy to have them join me. Any toys they especially like to play with are also on the menu. Whatever they are used to in their normal day-to-day routines, and whatever attention and care they need is what I do.
