I have personal experience, taking care of pets from hermit crab (long ago), to beagle pup (Angel), and a bit of professional experience with 2 German Shepherds, Teddy Bear and Delgato. I now have a cat called Simon, crazy but not viciously so, as my previous kitten was. I loved and cared for every one of my companions. Although it was an entirely new experience, I eventually found a temporary shift as a daycare assistant for kids ages 2-12, which definitely broadened my knowledge as a caregiver-- a year I would carry for the rest of my life. What we have in common is our furry babies, which need constant love and affection... thankfully, mine is nocturnal and is satisfied with my sleeping form of cuddling. My days are currently free.
