Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Sara and I have over 10 years of experience working and volunteering at various animal shelters and veterinary hospitals. I have 2 dogs (a Pitbull and a French Bulldog) and 2 cats of my own, and have fostered over 200 cats and dogs with my husband over the years! I have experience caring for pets with a variety of special needs, including a diabetic cat, a dog with congestive heart failure, and a dog with a history of seizures. Therefore, I am certainly comfortable with administering medications as well as injections, if needed! I joined Rover in 2015 but didn’t have much availability for bookings. Thankfully, starting in January 2024, I will be working as a full-time pet sitter and dog walker! Whether you are at work or out of town, I'm happy to drop-in for potty breaks, meal times, medications, walks, litterbox changing, or anything else I can do to give you some peace of mind while you are away from home! I believe that keeping your dog active is extremely important (especially when they’re young) and I love helping my clients keep their dogs happy & healthy! For both my clients’ dogs and my own, I love going for walks to a nearby park or local dog-friendly areas! I’m up for any adventure! Sara watched my beloved kitty, Zeke, for the weekend when I went away. Zeke had been recovering from surgery so I wanted someone to keep and eye on him while I was gone. I figured Sara's veterinary experience would come in handy when checking on his wound to make sure everything looked normal. I came home and his bowl of food and water were filled. Also my apartment was just as I had left it. I get the feeling that they bonded because he wasn't as anxious as he normally is when I come home after a couple days. I'm glad Sara could help me out and also keep my little Zeke company. :)

In case you need me to transport your pup for any reason, my car is equipped with 2 doggy seatbelts as well as a protective seat covering that dually serves as an extra layer of safety by preventing them from reaching my front seat.
