Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with pets since I was 9 years old, and was asked to pet sit for neighbors roughly every weekend once I turned 13. I also have experience with cats, and currently have two, one being a senior female and the other a 2 year old male!

This was my first time using Rover ever and Sarah was great! She did a meet and greet with Bird (and me!) beforehand and she is so easygoing and chill. Shockingly Bird took to her like she knew her her whole life (has never happened with anyone else before)?? It made me feel totally at ease that we got along and Bird got along too. She kept me updated on Bird throughout the time i was away and took such great care. Got stuck in the snowstorms blowing through the Midwest over the weekend and her check-ins, funny notes and pictures of Bird made the heinous travel easier because I got to see pics of my cat 🥹 10/10 book Sarah!!
Sara was great! This was the first time we booked someone to house sit in our home, and based on the pictures she sent I am so glad we did. Our pups looked happy and less stressed than when we boarded them in other homes. It was so nice to have peace of mind knowing Sara was checking in on them throughout the day and staying with them at night. We will book again!

I would ensure that I am at the client’s house at least every 4-8 hours during the work day, depending on your pets needs, this will depend on my school schedule since it will change every semester, but your pets will never be alone any longer than they absolutely need to be!

I don’t have any preferences when it comes to dogs that I watch, but I do have more experience with larger dogs. I do have some experience with smaller dogs as well, and am more than happy to watch any of your fur babies!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks, and even on hikes if that’s something you are comfortable with! I also love to do mental stimulation with dogs to make sure they are able to expend their energy in different ways.

Availability
Being recently retired from the Navy and now a full time student gives me the opportunity to provide care for your pets! Whether that be taking your dogs on daily walks or just checking in on your cats while you’re out of town, I’m available for just about whatever you need! I also do offer housesitting, I currently book out about 3-4 months in advance and can either stay at your home with the pets or make sure that I’m there right before bed and back in the morning before breakfast with drop ins and walks in between!
