Pet care experience
I worked in a veterinary practice for over 9 years, and was well trained in behavior and wellness, as well as medication administration including injection. I’ve been boarding and walking dogs for more than 12 years. Reliability is what my regular clients appreciate the most. Love and attention are what my regular pets appreciate the most. Your pet’s safety and comfort are the most important thing to me when they are in my care. We have a large fenced area, trails, and lots of hills and rocks. Unless inside the fenced yard, they will never be off the leash and I will never be on my phone. I make a point of giving your dog several potty and play breaks through the day and night. There’s a before breakfast and after breakfast, lunchtime, before and after dinner, and a middle-of-the-night for a MINIMUM of 6 breaks through the day and night. I work on a flexible schedule, and I am very organized. If we book a visit or a stay, it WILL happen and your pet will get my full attention. You can count on me! Taking care of dogs and cats is what I do, so I have the flexibility to make sure your pet gets plenty of attention. Weekends, evenings, or by another arrangement...we can make it work for you. Pickup after 4 pm will require a charge for a half-day and after 7 pm usually won't work; if we do, I may charge an extra night's stay...which is only fair. I'm working to give your dog the best day possible (and my family and I are early birds!). Because it takes time for your dog to settle in, and because it takes time to get to know the unique personality and needs of your dog, I will not take NEW guests for only one night on their FIRST visit; it's not a hard-and-fast rule, but it usually works out better for everyone. We have a large fenced play area, but I will only take your dog in there with your permission. Otherwise, it’s leashed walks around our neighborhood, which is full of boulders, bushes, grassy patches, and lots to smell.
Reviews
Sara, Thank you! Kya had a Merry and Bright time with you. She is so well cared for, we could not ask for anything more!
Love leaving my dog with Sara 😊 Ellie always has the best time! ♥️
Sara is wonderful. Excellent communication and she’s a real pet lover. Keep us updated from time to time. My puppy Woody had a fun time. Surely will book her again.
I felt very comfortable leaving my pets with Sarah.

I have a fenced yard and well-socialized dogs to keep your dog company and play, if you allow it. I can isolate or crate a dog, depending on his or her individual needs and emotions.

Information Sara P. would like to know about your pet
We have a peaceful environment with dogs from different homes quietly staying together. We’ve got the right balance with the expectations we set and the loving positive reinforcement we give...but it’s also important that we find a good fit. I’m sorry, but my HOA does have breed restrictions. While I disagree, I must respect my neighbors. I am unable to host any variety or mix of Pitties, Huskies, Dobies, Rotties, or German/Belgian Shepherd Dogs/Belgian Malinois or other breeds that some consider "aggressive." I know this is frustrating.
A typical day
Romping in our home. Belly rubs. Supervised fenced yard play time. Couch flopping. Long neighborhood walks. Trail running...or hiking...or waddling (dog dependent, I guess). Grass sniffing. Rock snooping.

Pet care is what I do! Of course I'm involved with my family, my son's sports and school, and my community...but giving your dog individual attention is the focus of my day!
