IMPORTANT NOTE (01/08/2026): Rover has opted to make their app unusable for those who aren't willing to have AI take over their personal phone, so unfortunately, the Rover app is no longer working on my cellphone. As a result, I may take longer than usual to respond to messages (especially initial messages), so please be aware that I will get back to you as quickly as I can, but it may not be immediate. Also, because the app is not working on my phone, I regret to inform potential clients that I am unable to do Rover cards at this time (for walks and drop-ins). I'm Sara—a lifelong animal lover, mindful human, student of the world, and steward of the environment. I decided to join Rover after my brilliant, beautiful, and hilarious lab-beagle mix, Applejack, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2018 after we spent over 15 wonderful years together. Although I'm sure she would've loved to run around in a nice, big fenced-in yard, we never had one, so we went for multiple walks every single day of her life—in rain, wind, heat, and even the rare Charleston snow. Since Applejack passed away, I have found myself missing our walks almost as much as I miss her sweet face, so when I heard about Rover, it seemed like a perfect opportunity for me to help pets and their people while also allowing me to get back out into the world and connect with dogs (and cats, too) in a way that I know from experience is incredibly meaningful and powerful—not to mention fun! Important note: I will need to meet you and your pet(s) and visit your home before accepting any Rover requests. Also, for in-home stays, one of my requirements is that the home contains a dedicated guest bedroom (or other guest residence area).
