Hi there! I'm Sara and I am a fierce lover of animals. I am highly inclined towards gentle caregiving of all animals and I would be a great supporter of your pet's care needs! I have life-long experience caring for dogs of various sizes, and I am skilled at handling a bigger dog on a leash. I have a lot of patience for animals with special needs and more complex feeding and/or grooming routines. I also have a deep love for cats and have a lot of experience caring for a variety of breeds. I am skilled at grooming and medicating cats as well, and I have experience in helping to raise kittens.

Sara is incredible with all animals that she meets. My dog, Winnie, is very high energy and overall a bit of a handful, so there aren’t many people that I fully trust to watch her. Sara is one of the few that I absolutely trust to watch my dog. Sara has a calming presence that makes all animals immediately love her. She’s the best cat mom I know, and she’s a loving dog aunt to my dog. I can’t recommend her enough. Your pet will be left in the best hands with Sara.

When it comes to caring for pets in a client's home, I demonstrate the utmost respect in caring for the physical space in whatever ways requested by the client. I am happy to submit to any background check and can provide reliable references to attest to my commitment and trustworthiness. I have two cats and one of them is very afraid of dogs, however my house allows for a good deal of separation, so a discussion with the owner to establish boundaries for care within my own home is a priority. I have a fenced-in backyard and I am happy to bring clients' dogs over to play out in the yard, weather-permitting. Overall, I am very flexible and I look forward to discussing your needs in further detail!

Before sitting a dog, I'd like to know general information about their temperament as well as how they feel about other dogs, how they respond to being around other animals in general, and kids. I'd like to know about any medical or behavioral concerns and I'd like to have an emergency contact for veterinary care. I'd also love to know if there is anything in particular you'd like me to practice integrating into your dog's routine (e.g., training methods, diet or exercise changes, play and enrichment, socialization, etc.)
A typical day
I'm down to walk anywhere! Around the neighborhood, the nearby park, etc. I'm willing to drive your dog to their favorite place granted that it's not too far away and that your dog enjoys being in the car!

My schedule is currently very open and flexible. I am looking for a regular position as an animal caregiver, and I am willing to be flexible in maintaining the care schedule if I acquire any additional employment opportunities in the future. I am available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and some weekends! I am all about open communication when it comes to scheduling needs and conflicts, so please do not hesitate to reach out for a chat.
