Pet care experience
We have been official dog owners since summer 2021, and have enjoyed having more than one dog in the home through Rover! Our dog, Balki, adores having fur-friends and will play as much as your dog wants, but is also great at listening to other dog's signals if they don't want to play or need their space. We have a large fenced in yard for dogs to run and play in, a running "dog water-fountain", and spend most of our time at home. We do require dogs who board with us to be crate trained for overnight; we are happy to crate them in our room or the guest room - where ever you think they are most comfortable.

Our dog, Mavis, stayed with Sara and Jonathan for three weeks as we were out of town. We highly recommend Sara and Jonathan! Mavis became best friends with the resident dog, Balki. They played constantly and wore each other out (always a good thing!) Sara is very professional and organized. She sent really fun photos, write up and videos every night. We were so happy to know how Mavis was doing each day as we missed her so much. The two boys in the household were just wonderful with Mavis. We will definitely book again with them!

(fetch, tug, chase, belly rubs....) - Any preferences or quirks we can keep in mind, so that your dog has the best possible stay?
A typical day
We enjoy taking dogs to the various dog parks available in Dane County, particularly Walnut Grove, Prairie Moraine, and Badger Prairie. Our yard allows for games of fetch and tug if we can't make it to the dog park, and our neighborhood has sidewalks and trails for leashed walks. For inclement weather days, or to give the dogs a break from play, we often have frozen peanut butter Kongs or licking mats.

Availability
For boarding dogs, we may leave the house for a minimum of 30 minutes daily or up to a maximum of 4 hours. **Boarding dogs must be crated trained ** We are at home all day when we offer dog day-care. We currently homeschool, and an adult and two kids will be home with the dogs every day. Dogs who board with us will be walked in the evening or taken to a dog park, depending on your preferences.
