Our furry friends deserve the best!

Pet care experience

I AM CURRENTLY ONLY TAKING REQUESTS FOR EVENINGS ON WEEKDAYS AND ANYTIME DURING WEEKENDS. My fiancé and I own a 2 year old female cockapoo who never fails to bring us joy! I am comfortable independently taking caring of her, which includes feeding, playing, teeth brushing, bathing, giving pills, walking, training, and going to dog parks. I love having her interact with the wide variety of dogs around our neighborhood. Big dogs, small dogs, shy dogs, or playful dogs - you name it! I love them all! I use a gentle lead technique to help with my dog's behavior on walks (she's quite stubborn and loves to get distracted), so I am comfortable attaching a gentle lead and using one to take your dog on controlled walks, if necessary. I also am familiar with techniques used to get dogs to drop things out of their mouth if they pick up something they shouldn't. I love training my own dog to do tricks, so if you'd like me to practice tricks with your dog in order to stimulate their mind, I am more than happy to do so! I helped raise my parents two Cavachons (they are shown in my profile picture) from when they were 3 months old, which included crate training, potty training, walk training, and LOTS of play, so puppies are not an issue for me. I also grew up in a household with two cats, so I am comfortable cleaning out cat litter and providing food (and also searching around the house to check on them - I know what it's like to live with a skittish kitty!).

Sara is super sweet, professional, and went above and beyond with sending us pics, videos and a detailed report on each visit. She is also very thoughtful and attempted to do what she could to make our cats feel comfortable while we were away. Thank you SO much Sara!

Sara was timely, communicative, and extremely attentive to our pup! She left lots of details about her check in, as well as pictures and video. Will definitely rebook with her in the future.

Safety, trust & environment

As a pet owner myself, I know how attention-to-detail is super important when it comes to keeping our furry friends safe (we know they love to get themselves in trouble!). That's why I take a variety of precautionary measures to ensure your pet is safe in their own home. I make sure to keep all doors closed before I leave so that your pet doesn't wander where they aren't supposed to. I will also ensure that all items, toys, and food that could be potentially hazardous to your pet if left alone are out of their reach before I leave. Again, attention-to-detail is key, so if there are any other instructions for me in order to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy, then I will follow them.

Information Sara H. would like to know about your pet

Knowing a pets personality is crucial to make their experience with me as comfortable as possible. I understand that all pets are different, so if your pet isn't the cuddly type, then I'll make sure to not give them hugs. Or if your pet is apprehensive towards new people, then I'll make sure to approach slowly and at a pace they are comfortable with. Before a visit, I request that you provide me a general idea of what your pet does and does not like so I can do my best to accommodate them.

A typical day

During a standard drop-in visit for a dog, I will do the following: 1) Let them outside for a potty break; 2) Give food, if necessary, and replace water; 3) Engage in playtime, which can include tug-o-war, fetch, hide and seek, chase, and other games; 4) Give them pets (if they are comfortable); and 5) Check their environment to ensure there are no hazards. Our furry friends deserve the best, so I will ensure to give them lots of attention and love when I stop by. I enjoy making friends with new pets, so it's a treat for me as much as it's a treat for them!
