I have grown up with dogs all my life! Currently, I have two at home and have taken a big role in helping to raise and take care of them. Also, I have volunteered for a pet shelter at PetSmart as well as a pet rescue shelter for two years. I was able to take part in cleaning up after dogs, walking them around, and giving them love and attention. Furthermore, I have watched my family's dogs and cats over the years when they are out of town for prolonged periods. Tasks I am well experienced with dogs include; taking the dog out to use the restroom on a leash, giving dogs walks, and daily grooming and playing needs. For cat care; I am able to let the cats outside/inside if they are outdoor, lots of playtime, changing cat litter, and feeding. I have also watched family friend's dogs and cats where I've spent the night and was trusted to do so over a couple days. In addition, I have a history of bigger dog care, my boyfriend's family has two white labs that are around a hundred pounds each as well as my own dogs being average sized dogs. I'm also experienced with tiny dogs as my aunt has a shiatsu and I don’t get nervous or anxious with barking or excited puppies. My brother owns a cat and my friend has four. I'm perfectly comfortable around multiple cats and dogs. I would love to surround myself with pet care and have a passion for animals and making sure pets are loved and happy even when they’re owners are not able to be there. I feel like over my several years of volunteering and my whole life being surrounded by animals I will be able to gain trust and acceptance and be a confident and experienced pet caretaker!
