I've grown up with dogs my whole life and I am 22 years old. I played sports in college and am extremely active, so I don't mind longer walks if needed. I've owned 6 dogs: German Sheppard, English Mastiff, Akita, Chow, Pittbull, and a smaller mutt. I've never had a dog that I wasn't able to handle. All of my dogs have been trained by me and are/were very obedient. I have a family dog that I miss very much, and am mainly taking on dog sitting/walking to be around dogs again. I'm a very organized and committed person, who is looking for a way to be around dogs and make extra income. I would have a dog myself, but I want to wait another 2-3 years before I do so.
