Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and fish in my home at some point or another from the time I was 13! I have experience working at veterinary hospitals, an open admission animal shelter, and I walked dogs and provided pet sitting services for a wonderful company in Northern Virginia for a year and a half before moving to the Richmond area. I have always had a passion for making pets feel comfortable and loved, especially while their owners are away! I am good at reading behavior and avoiding conflict while out on walks and in homes. I am able to feed all types of animals with ease and I’m comfortable dispensing common medications. Whatever your special creatures need, I am here and I love pleasing my human and animal clients alike! I look forward to serving my community here in Mechanicsville and nearby.

It would be helpful to know if your dog has any food, toy, or animal aggression ahead of time so that I can keep myself and others safe, as well as your dog of course. I also like to know if the dog has any treat preferences so I can be sure to give positive reinforcement in your absence. I also believe it’s important to know if there is any place your dog does not like to be touched so that I can avoid any trigger for anxious or aggressive behavior.
A typical day
I love really getting to know a dog’s personality and preferences and work from there. I often feel like what most dogs want and need when their owners are away is reassurance and affection, and I LOVE cuddle time!

I do work full-time from home Monday-Friday, so for now I am only available on the weekends for pets who are needing care throughout the day.
