Pet care experience
As a child I was obsessed with dogs but not allowed to have my own so I started volunteering for a rescue at age 10. I’ve been a pet sitter, dog walker and trainer for family and friends since middle school. Before adopting Pelé, I also fostered dogs for BARCs. I am extremely patient and have a special place in my heart for dogs that come from difficult circumstances - no greater joy than watching them progress! I love learning new things and stay up to date on the latest dog training methods and products through my membership with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

I have a patio with a privacy fence, am only 2 blocks from Riverside Park, and have ample space to crate your companion if desired. My 2 year old resident pit mix, Pelé, loves meeting new friends but my setup also allows for each dog to have their own space.

Please let me know of your pet has any special needs, medication requirements, dietary issues, etc. I’m happy to accommodate any request, but very much appreciate a heads up so I can be fully prepared. I also offer discounted rates for current foster animals.
A typical day
My house is only two blocks away from Riverside Park so I love to walk there. I have flirt poles, brain games, and an outdoor dog pool (weather permitting). I will meet your dog wherever their needs are and enjoy high energy activities (fetch, hikes, tug, agility, etc.) as well as lazy belly rub days on the couch.

I am self-employed as an attorney which allows me the flexibility to set my own hours. I’m hoping to eventually be able to transition to full-time pet care.
