Personalized, Devoted Care for All

Pet care experience

My passion for animals and animal care began with my upbringing in an extremely pet-friendly household having various pets throughout my life. At around 15, I began to offer dog-walking and pet-sitting irregularly on the basis of personal connections until early 2020 when I joined Rover while in college. I graduated with a BA in Animal Behavior in May of 2023, and aim to build a career in wildlife medicine or another realm of wildlife conservation. I currently work as an Animal Care Technician at City Wildlife Inc., caring for injured, orphaned, or ill wildlife. Previously, I worked at West Shore Wildlife Center as a Rehabilitation Assistant performing similar duties, at Franklin & Marshall College's vivarium as an Enrichment Team Leader and a general caretaker a variety of species from tufted capuchin monkeys to wolf spiders, and at Petco as a Guest Experience Specialist caring for store animals and advising customers on pet care. All of these experiences have allowed me to hone my animal care skills across a multitude of settings and species. I am well-equipped to meet the needs of your animal(s), whatever they may be!

Sara went above and beyond to look after my two rabbits and kitty for nearly two weeks! While travelling, I knew I could count on her to provide me with thorough updates and take excellent care of the critters. I’m so grateful for the level of care she provided while I was away, and would rebook with her in a heartbeat.

Sara is amazing. She stopped by and watched my babies over the holiday and she kept me updated with a summary and pictures of how things went. My two dogs aren’t use to me leaving and she was able to transition them much quicker and easier than I expected. I will definitely be utilizing her in the future. I’m already looking at her schedule for an upcoming weekend. She deserves more than 5 stars thank you Sara you’re one of their best friends now! :-)

Sara did a great job housesitting for my dog. I received daily updates and pictures. And she left my house as clean as when we left it. She is very responsive and responsible. I highly recommend Sara!

Sara was amazing! I found her for a last minute pet sitting job, and she was able to come right over to go over my cats’ routines. While I was away, my cats, who usually don’t come out for strangers, came out to see her. One threw up and she cleaned it up, which was so kind. I really recommend Sara to anyone looking for a great pet sitter.

My personal, professional, and educational experiences with animals have prepared me to understand and meet the mental and physical needs of animals. Information Sara D. would like to know about your pet

I want to know anything and everything necessary to provide your pet with the best quality care possible. Typically, this includes feeding instructions, treat information, medications, other special needs, how they like to play, how they like to be petted/interacted with, what commands and tricks they know, if they are reactive to anything (people, kids, animals), and any other information that the owner deems important!

A typical day

I aim to fulfill both mental and physical needs for the animals I care for. For many pets, this often entails lots of play time, lots of walks, cuddles/petting, practicing commands/tricks, and if the owner is comfortable with it, I love to give dogs enrichment puzzles with treats or during feeding time. I am a big fan of long walks, too!
