Hi! My name is Sara, I have been with Rover for several years and have made many great friends along the way! I have a lifelong passion for dogs and I am committed to providing the best care for your pets, the kind of care that I would want for my own pup. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as experience with several special needs dogs. Currently I live in a single family home with a 4 foot chain link fence around a big back yard. There is an unfinished basement which I have created a “rainy day play” area. Floors are padded and there is plenty open play area free of clutter so we can have fun even on the bad weather days. I work part time a few days a week (4:30-9:30 am) but my scheduling is very flexible so I can arrange to spend as much time at home with your pet as possible. Most importantly, in my home I have. 3 year old daughter (with me 50% of the time/joint custody) who shares my love for dogs, and our newest addition, my puppy Binnington Blue, who I adopted in May 2020. Binnington is a golden retriever/lab mix and has a lot of typical playful puppy energy right now! He is also very friendly and loves to meet new friends (of all species!). He is up to date on shots but has not been fixed (born Early April 2020). So for now it would be a better fit for us to have guests that are comfortable with other dogs and love to play (also comfortable with kids if my daughter will be there during stay. I am happy to check dates for you to let you know if she will be or not). I spend the majority of my free time at home with my new puppy but we do enjoy going for walks and car rides too! I scheduled Sara to petsit for me over the 4th of July and had a terrible experience. The service was scheduled about a week in advance, and Sara agreed to meet me on Tuesday afternoon to go over things and get a key as I would be leaving Wednesday right after work. I messaged Sara about an hour before the meeting time on Tuesday to confirm she would still be coming and I received no response. I messaged her several more times throughout the evening and still received nothing back. Finally at around 8pm at night I was forced to ask my neighbor if they would be willing to petsit instead and I cancelled my booking on Rover. I never received any sort of response from Sara.
Sara was great! Excellent communication and great with Shadow. Shadow said she really liked her too. Especially the treats! Thank you so much!
Sara was absolutely FANTASTIC with house sitting my two dogs. She was very thorough asking about their care and habits so she knew how to care of them. She kept me & my wife up to date periodically with pictures of them and the dogs had nothing but smiles on their faces! I know my dogs had the most excellent time and I will definitely look to use Sara again to watch my pups :) Definitely deserves more than 5 stars!
Sarah is so good with my sweet dogs! She sends pictures throughout my time away so I can see how much fun they are having with her! She takes them to the dog park to run around too. They love when she comes to dog sit!

I love ALL pets regardless of shape and size. I have always had large breed dogs as my own pets, but I am comfortable and experienced with any.
A typical day
Activities during stays is based on each specific dogs needs and what you as the owner would like for them. This includes walks, playtime (my backyard is great for fetch!) naps, or even things like car rides or watching cars drive by in the window. I try to maintain their home schedule / routine as much as possible but more than anything, I try to engage and interact with them and treat all pet guests the way I would want my own treated (That means lots of love!). Hopefully this will make your time apart a little easier on both of you. Pets are allowed to roam and sleep anywhere in my home they would like, including furniture (unless you prefer them not to!). My home is set up to provide comfortable and safe play for pets (and toddlers!) I Have several beds and toys, and also an extra crate but you are welcome to bring any supplies, toys, beds, kennels etc., whatever you think would help make their stay more comfortable!
