I am a cautious pet taker, always making sure that pets are in a safe environment. For example, I usually place all small objects out of reach so the pets I’m caretaking do not choke on certain objects. When dog walking, I utilize fenced in yards if the client is comfortable with their pet unleashed. If not, I always triple check if leashes and harnesses are on correctly to ensure comfortability for the pet and safety in outside areas. Moreover, I never allowed pets to roam unsupervised since they are equivalent to little kids! Lastly, I always pay attention to pets needs and wants. I find it easy to understand a pets emotions. It’s important to give your pet what they’re asking for (food, water, a walk, etc).
