Hello fur baby parents and animal lovers! My name is Sara, and I am an enthusiastic animal-loving vegan. I am fully vaccinated and LGBTQ friendly. I ask that all pet parents kindly take a moment to read my bio first to learn about my background and my availability so you can make sure I am a good fit for you and your pet. Thanks for taking the time to get to know me! If you were to ask anyone in my life one way to describe me, they would all tell you ‘’animal lover”. I consider caring for my own fur babies and animal activism my hobbies, and love to spend my free time meeting new pets, such as your own! Growing up, my household was always full of critters (two shelties, a cat, and a cockatiel). Prior to moving out, I often helped with taking care of all of the family pets. I now live with my own two cats and two bunnies which were all raised solely under my care since being babies! I have had the pleasure of taking care of dozens of dogs and cats (plus pigs and rabbits too) through Rover since 2017, and also have experience volunteering at the Tiny Lions cat cafe in Ann Arbor. Out of my love for animals and missing my dogs from home, working with Rover is my part-time side job. I also work full time at the University of Michigan. Due to the nature of my office work schedule, I can only accept evening bookings after 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, and any time during the weekends. Additionally, because I have my pets with me who don’t do well with other animals, I cannot accept any boarding services. At this moment I only offer walks, drop in visits, and house sitting within a 4 mile radius of my home, and I cannot accept most repeat bookings due to the nature of my schedule. I will happily be able to provide references upon request. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and all ages, as well as many different cats. I have experience administering oral medication (syringe, pills) to cats, rabbits, and dogs. I invite you to read my reviews from my happy clients! Sara had a remarkable ability to understand my cats' behavior and quickly earned their trust. She was meticulous in following all instructions and was an excellent communicator. Impressively, she even went above and beyond to maintain a tidy home, despite my naughty cats causing chaos while I was away. Her care and attention left me feeling confident and relaxed while I was away from home.
Sarah was great!!!! She treated my sweet cats like they were her own, communicated often and clearly, and left my house as clean as she found it. I am very grateful for her help and would recommend her highly to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
Sara was wonderful with my highly fear reactive dog. She was calm and patient with him, and understanding of his specific needs. She confirmed the visit, let me know when she was on her way, and arrived on time. I will definitely book her again.

I am always conscious of the ever changing weather in Michigan, and whether or not it safe for your pet to go outside. I also am very familiar and careful with escape artists who love to wait by the door!

How they adjust themselves with strangers and other animals outside, what harness is used, and what are their potty and feeding habits and schedule. Meet and greets are strongly preferable!
A typical day
Live near dog parks if owner requests, but will likely walk around neighborhood where dog resides. After a walk, always some more playtime and pets inside or outside. Toys and treats with the parents permission :)

Availability
I work full time and also take care of my own 4 pets, so I will only have the pleasure of meeting rover friends a few times throughout the week. Evenings and weekends are preferred, I am typically not available mid-day, but please feel free to ask!
