In high school, I worked on a ranch with 5 corgis and a border collie. I learned positive reinforcement, clicker training, as well as therapy dog training. I also participated in hearding lessons with the border collie. During high school, my family adopted a basset hound/ German Shepard mix that was 10 weeks old. I went through all the training with her and she became the official greeter everywhere she went. She also has every food and environment allergy under the sun. We learned more than we thought possible about pet allergies! We went through the raw food, homeopathic remedies, steroids, and shots at home. After 4 years, we finally found what worked for her! Now she is older, and we just completed stem cell therapy on her hips and went through physical therapy last year. For 4 years after High School I worked for Petco, where I also helped out in the vet clinic on site with shots and exams. It was here that I recieved knowledge on the products that are on the market for every need of your pets. From furry to feathered I obtained a wide variety of knowledge. After college, I had a career that was not with animals so I volunteered quite a bit. I have worked with Helen Woodward shelter, House Rabbit Society, Las Vegas ASPCA, Project Wildlife, and am currently working with Dogs on Deployment to help get their message out to the public and the pets they support.
