If you could describe Sara in three words, one of them would have to be "animal-lover". Sara is a friend to all animals, but especially to dogs. All dogs are greeted by her with a special kind of love and care, but also a respect and intuition for their needs. This likely came from Sara growing up with dogs and being around them most of her life. I could think of many examples proving how Sara is a trustworthy and responsible pet caregiver. I remember accompanying her as she walked her sister's dogs. One of the dogs started trying to eat something from the ground -- a dead animal! I didn't see but Sara noticed immediately and, without a second thought, rushed to the dog and removed the animal carcass from its mouth. I thought this was pretty gross but she did not even think twice about it. I had assumed this was about stopping the spread of disease, but she later told me it was also about ensuring the dog does not consume bones that might upset its digestion. I think this example clearly showcases her knowledge about dog's wellbeing, but also her commitment to their safety and attention to their needs. Sara is a very warm person in general, and this warmth is always shared with the animals she cares for and interacts with. I would be very comfortable trusting Sara with my beloved pet, because I would be sure the pet is receiving ample love and expert caregiving.
