Now that my children are grown, I’m spending my retirement exactly the way I want to––quality time with my dogs. I have two Border Collies who are well-trained and we’ve taken several obedience and agility courses together. I have also completed courses in dog behavior and first aid . I have always loved the company of dogs and have a knack for training them and making them feel at ease. My own dogs can integrate a new temporary member of the pack without much fuss, plus I only take a limited amount of guests to ensure that your pup will get lots of individual attention. My house is designed for their safety and I have a designated playroom as well as a fenced-in yard with rubber paths and artificial grass that’s soft on their paws. My schedule allows me to care for them full-time, providing constant supervision and scheduled activities. Over the years I've learned to understand their behavior which allows me to project a calm yet assertive presence that makes them feel comfortable and secure. I am not squeamish or intimidated by dogs requiring special needs. I have the time to devote to tending to them full-time. I’m especially skilled to handle smaller breeds including tiny Chihuahuas as well as mid-sized dogs, but have no breed or size preferences. Basic commands and routines are reinforced during their stay. Whether it’s playing with their favorite toys, going for a walk or just napping, your dog will feel like part of the family.
