Pet care experience
I can walk dogs and check in on them if anyone needs help with that. I volunteer at Anderson Animal Shelter and my main task there is walking dogs and feeding them. I love spending time with animals and I’m happy to help anyone that needs it. My availability is pretty flexible so I can be there almost any time you would need. I don’t mind a cancellation if it’s reasonably in advance because we all have last minute things that come up. I want to maintain a good relationship with the animal as well as the owner so please reach out to me if you would like any help with your pet. I’m excited to meet new animals and people with this job. Thank you!

I work very well with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments since I have had this experience while working in an animal shelter. I have no problem meeting new animals and can feed, groom, and walk them with confidence. I have a dog of my own whom I recently went through the puppy phase with. I completely understand the needs of a new puppy as well as older, senior dogs. I worked in the animal behavior and care department of the shelter, which has taught me the skills necessary to feel confident around all dogs. I love meeting the client for the first time and getting to hear a bit about the dog before I provide any services, as I believe the owner knows their dog the best!

I would prefer to know information about your pet such as any flight risk dogs or any fearfulness in your pet. I’m well-versed in engaging with fearful dogs and knowing in advance can help me approach and interact with them better from day one. I’ll take special caution in monitoring our surroundings and your dog if he/she has a history of running away or breaking loose. Also, of course, please inform me if your dog has any special characteristics that would impact my time with him or her!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks while keeping them actively engaged. I believe engagement during walks builds a bond between the dog and the person. I love playing with dogs of all ages and activity levels, whilst monitoring each dog’s specific needs and personalities. I know not all dogs are the same so I take my time to get to know what kind of activities/toys the dog loves!

I’m available everyday in both mornings and evening. I’m available in the afternoon Thursday-Sunday. I’m also fine with discussing any accommodations because my schedule is flexible.
