Pet care experience
I have been caring for, fostering, and rescuing for many years. All of the animals who come through my doors are treated like my own. If they want to sleep in my bed or snuggle in theirs, both options are offered. I started pet sitting back in 2002 but then got busy with my work in real estate. I work from home , but I am also semi retired from it so I have a lot more time now. Caring for pets is my calling. There is nothing I love more. My friends make fun of me for the "I love yous" I bestow on dogs I've just met hahaha. There are dogs I've pet sat for over a decade who are my family now. I take measures to separate dogs during feeding, and when I leave. Is your dog crate trained? please bring their crate if that is customary for his/her daily routine.

Parker had another amazing stay with Sandy while we were away on a long trip. I don't think I would feel comfortable leaving our furbaby Parker with anyone else but we always feel completely at ease with him in Sandy's care. Highly recommend Sandy if you need a sitter. She is truly the best!
Sandy is the best! She always takes such good care of my doggy and send lots of pictures and videos while I’m away. My dog is always happy to go there and see all his friends.
Sandy was the best dog watcher for our 1 year old golden retriever puppy. They played endless fetch in her backyard and Pesto was so cozy in her house. Sandy sent us multiple photos and videos each day and we could tell Pesto was having the time of her life. Honestly Sandy treated Pesto like one of her own pets and she was so warm and welcoming that it felt like we were leaving our puppy with a friend while we were away. We will 100% book with Sandy again. She was beyond amazing!
Sandy is the best! We always know that Parker is in the best hands with Sandy while we are away. Parker does not get nervous when we drop him off because he loves Sandy and is so comfortable with her. Thank you, Sandy!

Must love other dogs and cats. I have 2 CHIHUAHUAS who are very sweet. I need to be able to leave to go to dinner or an appointment, so your dog must be ok when i go out. I can keep dogs secure under normal circumstances (but i had my dog Pete who broke through a glass window during a thunderstorm). I have seen the worst happen. Please give FULL disclosure if your dog has this type of behavior. Please no separation anxiety or escape tendencies. I need to keep them safe! I would die if something happened on my watch. I've seen them chew through wood, hop fences, wriggle out of collars and harnesses. There are more commercial environments that can help you if your dog might try to escape. (or if your pup is barky mcbarksalot) I have neighbors in close proximity so I am not a good fit for the barky dogs OR escape artists.
A typical day
Easy walks. I walk most days about 2-3 miles. your dog is welcome on my walks (as long as their harness and or collar are escape proof. I cannot take any chances) I have a nice backyard and back door always open when i am home. If they like to fetch i have tennis balls and frisbees. There will be other dogs and my dogs(and cat) to socialize with. But my dogs are older so they mostly lay around.

I need to be able to come and go for a class, or a dinner....I'm not usually gone for more than a few hours BUT if your pup has separation anxiety, my place is not ideal. I cannot provide 24/7 supervision. Where I live houses are close together, and I have to be respectful of my neighbors. A lot of barking doesn't work and you should explore a commercial option or someone who is always home.
