I grew up with dogs, including German Shepards, Beagles, and have owned and taken care of the most difficult including an ornery rescue bulldog. Have volunteered walking large shelter dogs.

I have house trained puppies and have cared for mature bulldogs. We provided lots of toys, frequent walks and much love. Our 2 bulldogs were as opposite as they get. Fred came to us as a 9-week-old puppy and turned out to be the calmest most laid-back dog you could imagine. Wilson came to us as a rescue at 3. He required a lot of love and care and a watchful eye around strangers. We loved and miss them both very much.

Any special needs the dog has, it's ability to walk, ie, short walks, can the dog handle longer? Is it OK to take it to a local park? What does the dog like to do? Anything I should be aware of or concerned about (as said in my profile, I loved for 8 years a very ornery bulldog who we had to be very careful with around people he was not familiar with.
A typical day
I love to play toys/balls. Happy to rub a belly and always love to walk and enable exploration of the neighborhood. A dog's walk is their opportunity to "read the newspaper".

Availability
I am recently retired and therefore have a flexible schedule. I can be available for house sitting Friday through Sunday. My dog passed away last summer, and I am looking to spend time with dogs in my retirement.
