Fun fact! I once saved a duck by doing mouth-to-beak resuscitation! I’m an avid and trusted animal lover, from the smallest to the biggest varieties. Whether hairy, scaly, slimy, feathered or furry, I love them all. I have experience rehabbing pigeons, chickens and squirrels, working in an emergency vet clinic and hand rearing exotic birds. I’m patient and kind with all animals, and their humans.

When you contract with me to stay in your home, I’ll follow your routine as instructed. Whether they’re shy or goofy, I’ll take the time to interact with them in an enriching way and make sure they are always safe and well cared for. For dog walking clients, I will follow your detailed instructions on how they are on leash as well as how they interact with other dogs and with their environment. Dog park visits may be arranged, depending on your dog’s disposition. For boarding in my home, I host cats in their own guest bedroom. I can host more than one cat from the same family, but only one family at a time. For dogs, they MUST be cat-friendly - non-negotiable. My free-roaming, pet cats must be respected by canine guests. I live on 2.5 unfenced acres, but I have a fenced area they can explore. I take them out to potty on a leash all throughout the day, but otherwise, they stay inside and free roam. I can also enforce crate time should you request it.

I like to know a dog’s temperament and general personality and if they have any training that an owner wants reinforced or adhered to. It's also helpful to know if they have any triggers for aggressive or resource guarding behavior.
A typical day
My favorite dog walking trail is at Deep Lake. There are plenty of well-mannered dogs (and people) to meet and smells to sniff. I like to go at the dogs pace. Sniffing tirelessly wears them out just as good as a brisk walk!

I am a Realtor and work the majority of the time online. This marries very nicely with pet sitting and caregiving, as I can spend a ton of quality time with your pets, just as you would if you were there. We can snuggle, tussle, play fetch, take a hike, whatever they fancy.
