Hi I’m Sandra, I live with my two cats, dog and a hamster which I have trained since young. It’s safe to say I prefer animal company over humans, I am HUGE on animal Welfare and rights therefore I am planning on expanding my skills and knowledge at a University in Chester. I am the person that speaks for the ones who can’t! My dream job is to be an RSPCA officer but before that I would like to develop my skills furthermore while earning for my University tuition the right way and what’s a better way to do that than in the presence of animals the most purest and innocent living beings on Earth. I have gained my past experience Volunteering, with the Wildlife Centre for over a year, I had the chance to work and learn about different species of animals while providing them with the right care they need such as full cleaning and spot cleaning their enclosure and providing them with daily fresh feed and water keeping the environment as safe as possible. I have also had an opportunity to work along side Just for Pets, which allowed me to learn more about the small rodents such as rabbits, Guinea pigs and hamsters etc. While on my duties I would interact with customers and their pets to provide them with the best advice regarding animal care. I have a completed level 2 animal management qualification and currently studying Level 3 animal welfare with science at Halesowen College I am on my final year of this course. Studying Animal Care has taught me the importance of following the 5 animal welfare needs to keep each fur baby happy and healthy my course has always provided me with first aid training which I have found useful while health checking animals.
