I've known the pleasure and responsibility of caring for Animals since I was a child. My mother started me with that responsibility young. I have a passion for caring for them and rescuing them for 45+ years now. I'm a a born caregiver! I have a strong medical background and I'm able to care for Animal that are considered special needs cats or dogs. I am comfortable and proficient dispensing medications whether they are in pill form liquid or injectable. I am comfortable treating eyes with drops and ointments. I am also comfortable with treating any kind of surgical incisions any kind of trauma wound care and cleaning. My medical background also allows me to see when an animal is in distress and I am able to help. I am very comfortable dealing with animals of all ages whether they be kittens or puppies, seniors & any age in between. I assure you your fur babies will be safe and loved whenever they are in my care as if they are my own. I fall in love with animals the second I meet them. If I am doing an Extended Stay or going to check on your fur baby in your home on an extended stay I am more than happy to send pictures & progress reports &/or call you so you can talk to your pet and or video chat as well.

I have known Sandra for a while now. When I first met her I was amazed at the medical knowledge she had on animals. From treatment to home care. She works with several organizations and rescues on finding homes and treatment of the sick and lost. She builds houses and closed in feeding stations for the many feral cat colonies she takes care of. She treats strays animals of any kind as if they were her own. She is an incredible assist to the animals of San Antonio and the people who know her. She is an awesome teacher to. Many people have learned from her and saved lives because of her knowledge. I am not blowing her up. I am just stating the facts. I wish I new as much as she does.
Sandra is one of the most compassionate pet/animal carers I know. She dedicates herself to all the strays in the area and puts their needs above her own. I have witnessed her dedication over the years and her knowledge is extensive. She is passionate about the health and comfort of the animal and often took care of my fur baby when I had to travel. I can't recommend her enough, she is a great pet mom and would be great working for Rovee.
Sandra is an anazing person! She has taken such good care of my fur babies over the past 3 years while I'm out of state visiting family. She once watched them for a whole month and my babies love her. One of them is very shy and gets very scared when new people are visiting in our home and over the past year he has gotten to know her well enough and now loves her. He won't hide anymore if she is taking care of them. She was able to work with him and helped me socialize him. She has great knowledge when it comes to dogs and cats. Another one if my babies is very feisty but that didn't stop Sandra from watching them and caring for them. She worked with her also and now all of my babies love her. I feel beyond safe leaving out of state and knowing that she will be taking care of them because I know she does great work and they will be well cared for. They love her so much!

As a rescuer I have kennels if that is what you request I am able for cats and dogs to provide that. We have three bedrooms two of which are available for a private Suite we also have two dog runs built so far. I am able to walk dogs as often as they need I'll even walk cats & I have a pet stroller :-). Caring for your individual pets is always going to be according to your directions and according to the Pet's needs.

What would be important to me to know is whether or not your dog has been around cats before and how they interact with them and react to them. It's not a problem if I have to maybe keep your pet between the backyard and my bedroom or somewhere separate if they don't like cats and you're in a tight spot and you want me to care for them I can accommodate I just need to know their experience. And I also need to know if they get along with other dogs or not if they're very dominant if there's anything I need to know about their health if they need medications dispensed if they have any wounds that need treating things like that I am okay with all of it if your pet is a recent rescue and you don't know their background, or if you do and there's anything special I need to know to be careful around that baby so I don't upset them in any way that would be good to know as well. I am very good at Rehabilitating animals that have been neglected and abused.
A typical day
I live in a very peaceful apartment complex there is also a dog park. I have a dog named Kona and I have cats as well. All of the cats are used to dogs and are very sweet. So your fur baby will have plenty of company besides me and plenty of toys! I have a beautiful fenced backyard and I actually have a beach in my backyard with 2,000 pounds of beach sand! Your baby will not be bored!

Availability
Pet Care in my home is something that I am willing and able to do 24/7. I have been an animal rescue volunteer for many years. My fiance and I adore animals and are always doing whatever we can to help an animal in need. I am a firm mama... over the years of rescuing I have kept some of the fur babies that were unadoptable they will live their lives out here at our property. That includes ferals that are outside and special needs babies that we have indoors. Some would call them unwanted but that is not how we feel. Please know that if you do board with us yes we do have cats we have one dog and we do have a foster a husky that I rescued that I am currently trying to get in with any rescue that has an opening or on a rescue transport to another state. In the meantime, Both dogs get along great with other dogs and are really sweet! We have three bedrooms dedicated to any animal that needs to be in their own Suite. We also have dog runs built outside fully enclosed and gated. If you want your pets have the social daycare experience we can provide that or we can also provide them their own space. Our entire home and property is dedicated to fur babies.
