Hey there! :D My name is Sandra. :) I used to have a super sweet pitbull named Oreo for about 9 years. He, unfortunately, passed away 6 years ago due to skin cancer. I live with my parents and the loss of Oreo broke their heart so much that I haven't been allowed to get another dog since. Rover allows me to enjoy the company of a dog that I miss from my sweet Oreo. I don’t have any pets and would love to help care for yours! I am a certified veterinary assistant. I also worked at Animal Medical Center on Camden for about 3 months. I loved every moment of that job! From assisting the veterinarian in giving vaccinations to providing medication and care to pets after their surgery. The reason I stopped working there was that I changed my major to Justice Studies. All my life I wanted to become a veterinarian but after taking a few biology courses I realized that it was a lot harder than I ever expected lol! I graduated from San Jose State with my bachelor's in Justice Studies in 2021. I currently work as a victim advocate full time Monday - Friday. I am available on weekends for any pet needs. I am extra cautious with every dog that I care for and treat them as if they were my own. I make sure to never take the leash off of your dog whenever outside. For extra measure I make sure to cross the street whenever an on coming dog approaches on walks. I allow dogs to sniff as much as they’d like on walks :). Even if it takes 30 minutes to get around the block.
