Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs (and horses!) in my life as long as I can remember! My childhood was spent sharing my home with herding breeds, but I’ve always loved large and giant breeds. As an adult, I became passionate about rescuing retired racing greyhounds. Our family currently includes Moon Pie, a retired racing greyhound, and Moose, a rescue Great Dane. I’m a runner and rower and love to be active with my dogs and will often take one of them for a run with me. I’m also a lifelong equestrian and have volunteered for a horse rescue where I fed, walked, and groomed horses.

Sandy was a reliable and helpful sitter when I used her to take care of my cats and chickens while I was away on vacation. She took great pictures and made me feel at ease knowing they were in good hands. I will use her again!

A typical day
I enjoy getting out in nature, regardless of the weather. I try to do my walks on rail trails, in the woods, or by the water, if it’s accessible. If your dog is more of couch potato, I’m happy to lounge around and give pets and treats.

Availability
**services provided outside a 10 mile radius require an additional $5/day travel charge** I work from home full time so have a great deal of daytime flexibility. I’m a morning person and willing to do early hours or mid day walks. My weekends are generally busy but with advance notice I am often able to fit you in.
