Pet care experience
I am married to Jay, and we live in a lovely home overlooking Puget Sound in West Seattle. I am retired and home full time with my Papillon, Stormy. He and I were a certified therapy team for many years, serving in hospitals, retirement homes and hospices. Now we are hoping to host a little dog from time to time, to keep life interesting! We love going for walks in nearby Lincoln Park. I am mindful of the special risks associated with small dogs, and yours would be safe and happy in my care. I feel so fortunate to have found Sandra through Rover. My dog's usual sitter was busy so I tried out Rover and couldn't be happier. I think I am so lucky because I bet all dog sitters aren't as attentive as Sandra. Her home is clean and feels very safe for the dogs which is important to me. Her dog, Stormy, is also a nice companion. She sent pictures over the few days which were fun to see. She is more educated in dog behavior than most which is a huge bonus!!
Since I booked my Brother's dog, Cookie, on Rover, he was not able to write a review. He asked me to write Sandra a five star review. At one point, we were planning our day in Hawaii and all of a sudden he said, thank God we found Sandra! I truly believe he would not have come on the trip if we had not found her. Cookie is a ten pound smarty pants that sizes situations up quickly. When she went for the meet and greet she immediately started checking out the house and initiating play with Stormy. I was amazed! She is a rescue who is just coming into her own and tends to hold back until she is very sure about the situation she is in. Not at Sandra's. She just took off like everyone can rest easy the queen has arrived. My brother was so grateful she did so much to make Cookie happy and comfortable. I know he won't hesitate to travel with us now that he knows she will have the best of care.

I require that a dog be on a flea treatment. My own dog is on Revolution which is a once a month topical liquid that keeps him free of fleas and ticks and it also prevents heartworm. My home is 100% flea-free, and we intend to keep it that way.
A typical day
We would go on walks through nearby Lincoln Park (which requires all dogs to be on leash) every day (unless it is raining). I love to interact with dogs using treats, (teaching tricks or just for fun).
