My complex has two dog parks for fun and exercise. I have crates and an ex pen for time outs and naps so dogs so don't get over-excited. I strive to deserve your trust and that of your precious pets with responsible and loving care. The kindness we show our little charges is usually repaid tenfold and that's the fun of working with animals.

Information Sandi D. would like to know about your pet
No need to bring bulky items like beds and crates, I have them. No large bags of food please as they can be heavy. An old shirt w/your scent and a fave toy may make your dog more comfortable. It's best if leaving written instructions to put them in the app for easy reference. Please include vet and emergency contact info if available and if traveling out of country or to a different time zone it's good to let me know how best to contact you, i.e. email or phone. It's extremely helpful if you leave out your pet's vet records for housesit petsits for reference, so I can watch out for any medical issues. Pets are sometimes stressed by your absence and behave differently. Oftentimes they aren't interested in food for a day or two. Let me know if they can have fresh food, table scrapes, etc. to encourage them to eat. High value treats are helpful if there are any behavior issues. I look forward to caring for your pet!
A typical day
Lots of open space, trees and grass at my complex for sniffy walks. In addition to potty breaks dogs get daily playtime and exercise in a small dog park where we're usually the only ones there, or in a bigger one if that suits them. They'll also cuddle on the bed for evening TV viewing and nighty night.

Full Time Professional Petcare
Pet care experience
I'm a full time caregiver for your furry friends! Why settle for less? live in downtown Silver Spring where it's very convenient to drop off your pets with me. My building has two dog parks for fun playtime and exercise for your pets. You can trust me with your precious pets. I do this full time and have years of experience. Also trained as a vet assistant, trainer and groomer. I'm an experienced dog owner and sitter. I'm pet first aid certified and know all the local vets. Dog training seminars and pet care industry trade shows allow me to offer advice and referrals if desired. Why settle for someone with another job when your dog will have my undivided attention? Due to space limitations I can only board small and toy breeds, dogs under 30 lbs., sorry. For larger dogs I'm available for pet sits in your home, where your dog is most comfortable anyway. I can offer basic grooming, bath and trim, small dogs only at this time. I'm a college grad, reliable and responsible. Your best friend is safe with me. They'll also have fun and lots of cuddles as I'm retired and able to spend all day with them.

Reviews

Sandi was lovely, and took great care of our Boston Terrier, Harvey! She was really responsive, and sent us regular updates on their adventures. He came back super happy, and we'd definitely recommend her to friends (and use her again)!
Sandi was great She was very attentive to Maya and was easy to work with. We loved the pics she sent, assuring us all was good. She clearly has a great love for dogs We would definitely hire her again for Maya's care!

It was the first time we left our dog Ash with a sitter since adopting him a year ago and Sandi was great with him. She was very thoughtful, and even put him in sweaters and coats when inclement weather struck. Ash was with her over a week, and started sleeping curled up with her at night, so he seemed quite content with his temporary housing. Sandi sent us several pictures and updates and was very communicative. We’ll definitely book with her again!

Our dog had only been away from home once before and seems to have come home from Ms. Sandi in terrific shape. She gave us updates and photos. Very pleasant to work with and great communication. Thank you Ms. Sandi!
