We went on a small get away vacation from 03/03/2017-03/05/2017. We had looked on Rover.com for a sitter since our regular sitter couldn't watch our animals during this time. We found Samual K. We like his profile and messaged for a meet and greet. We met him and everything sounded great and we let him know that we were going to go away during this time. He seemed glad to do this for us. We asked lots of questions and one of them was "are you going to stay the whole time till we get back?" He said oh yeah I will be here the whole time. The weekend came and we said be at our house about 5pm. My parents live across the street and they have to the house key. We had a list of things that the animals are use to in their routine. We received a few pictures and we texted a couple times. Saturday night we get a text asking when can he leave. We said Sunday about 5pm. Well the weather was really bad at the coast so we figured we will come back early. So we let Samuel know we would be back at 3pm. He could leave then that way the animals are cared for in case we are late. He texted Sunday morning about 9am and said he had left. He had to leave because he needed to be home by 5pm. His profile says he lives in our area and in person said he could walk here. That he lived right up the street. So we told him that we didn't understand why he left when we won't be home till 3pm. He said he was sorry but he had to go. We asked where the key was and he had left it on our table. We asked for a refund and haven't received one. He isn't someone I would want to house sit again. We told him we had an old cat that need her joint medicine everyday and we would pay him for that and he didn't even feed the cat while we were gone. We walked through our house and you could tell they didn't sleep here. The couch was the same as we left it. Our bed was the same. The porch light we left on for when Samuel showed up Friday night was still on when we got home Sunday at 3pm. I feel this person was dishonest and only showed up to feed the dogs and was gone most of the time. Please don't use this person for house sitting!
