I grew up in Surrey surrounded by animals from birth. My dad wasn't an animal person but my Mum was animal mad, so dogs, cats, rabbits, chinchillas, Guinea pigs, hamsters etc etc would "appear" at our house. I mean that was genuinely what my mum once told my dad - two rabbits had "appeared" in our old rabbit hutch! My parents separated and the old house was replaced with a new house, and my dad was replaced by more animals! This time though we added pigs - yes pigs! - and chickens, quails, ducks... the list goes on... Life growing up with such a variety of pets was so much fun and I learnt how to care for all of them and understand their different needs. 10 years down the line I have moved into my own house with my daughter and a partner who also doesn't want our own pets. As a compromise, we've agreed that I can bring dogs here to look after... It won't be long before a dog "appears" in our kitchen though! ***UPDATE!: We have rehomed a chihuahua/french bulldog Eddie! He’s fine with other dogs but his initial reaction is to bark at them - for no reason! - and then he’s just a big softie! *** Please contact me if you want a dog walker, someone to stop in and check on your pets while you’re away, or day care and boarding.
