Pet care experience
I love animals of all kinds, and have had the pleasure to take care of many over the years. Among those were many wonderful dogs that I count myself lucky to have known and loved. We moved a few years ago to a large plot of land with grass fields and forest right on the property. We're in a spacious dog-friendly house that they can have the run of. There's a fenced in area, and we do on-leash walks through the woods. I enjoy catering to whatever makes your canine family member(s) happy including walking, cuddling, running around, scratches, and brushing! I'm not happy unless they're happy. I hope that I get the chance to meet you and your special loved one(s).
Reviews
The best and only place for my cat and dog when I need to board them. Thank you both for treating them like they are your own!!
Sammy and his partner did a great job with my cat and dog for the week. We were so happy to receive occasional updates with photos. Chloe and Howie were very happy at their home away from home and will definitely be back. If you're looking for someone who will take your pet in and treat them as part of the family while you're away then I can't recommend them enough.
Sammy was great with our Sadie. When we requested him to pick her up at our wedding venue, he was very accommodating and showed up right on time. Although it was Sadie's first time spending a night with someone else, we felt confident leaving Sadie in Sammy's hands, and he provided updates during her stay. Would recommend Sammy as your next dog sitter!
Max and Aurora did great. They provided updates and pictures. Very pleased with the service..

Our yard is fully fenced in, but even so we like to keep an eye on dogs as they get settled in to our home. We'll often go out with them the first few times, make sure they're comfortable and aren't about to scheme up a daring escape plan. We try to make sure they are comfortable and know that they can trust us. We always walk on-leash with rare exceptions when a dog has been with us for a long time and their humans are comfortable with it.

Information Sammy D. would like to know about your pet
It's good to know if the dog has any special needs whether they be medical, food-based, or emotional (e.g. being crated, having separation anxiety). We like to know as much as possible about their typical routine, because we do our best to mimic it to help the dog feel at home with us: eating times, walking times, favourite toys, where they sleep, etc.
A typical day
Usually our days start with a nice walk through the woods, followed by breakfast (or vice-versa depending on the dogs typical schedule). My husband goes to work, and I work from my home office. Taking breaks during the day to play in the backyard, or snuggle on the couch, or both! When my husband gets home we go for the second walk of the day through the woods and we have dinner. Then it's usually time for more couch snuggles, because you simply can't get enough of those!

Availability
I work from home, so I am often available to attend to dogs who are staying with us. Typically we'll do a morning and an evening walk, and during the day I can take short breaks to run around the backyard with them.
