Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of animals all my life… well, all my life since the third grade when my parents got our first dog. The most pets I’ve had (both my personal pets as well as foster pets) at a time was 9! Between fostering, looking after friends dogs, and my own, I feel confident saying I’ve had a bit of experience with all kinds of dogs - small, large, energetic, lazy, puppies, seniors, aggressive, sick, you name it. I’ve also cared for cats - either my own or friends, despite being allergic (yes, I’m allergic to cats and still owned a few… some may call it crazy, I call it love). I also have quite a bit of experience with aggressive animals. My sweet fur baby, Sophie, was used in dog fighting before I adopted her in 2019. I spent years working with her myself and with trainers to help her overcome her aggression. Now, she’s still not the friendliest with other dogs but she’s made significant progress. Sometimes you have to accept that some dogs just won’t get along with others - just like how every person won’t get along with everyone. But that doesn’t mean we love them any less! *Note to add: as you can see in my photos gallery, I love to take my sweet girl hiking! If your dog is good in the car and on leash, I don’t mind taking them hiking (not with my dog, of course)! And if you hate bathing your pup, I don’t mind doing it for you (my go-to place for bathing my dog is Tractor Supply)! I am comfortable administering medicine to your furbaby as well.

My dog is starting to slow down and has always been well behaved in the house so I leave her un-crated at home. In my down time I love taking her hiking, bringing her on vacations (for a husky, she loves going to the beach), and my favorite - just hanging out with her at the house whether we’re on the porch enjoying some sun, playing with her favorite stuffed toys, or just snuggling. I am more than happy to care for your pet however you’d like, just give me some instruction and I will gladly follow! Feel free to let me know what your furry friend does and/or does not like and I will accommodate accordingly.

Please let me know anything your pet does/does not like, any allergies, if they don’t like being pet in certain areas, any aggression or behavioral issues, triggers (such as fans, cars, storms, other animals, etc.), how they behave on leash and around other animals, if there’s any medications or dietary guidelines to follow, daily routine with your pet (I will try to follow your routine as best I can while pet sitting), etc. Just any information that would be beneficial for me to know in order to care for your pet better.
A typical day
Whenever I look after someone’s pets I like to see what the owners typical day looks like so I can try to maintain their routine. Some things I’ve done with other pets I’ve looked after include: - Hiking (destination is based on dogs activity level and interest in swimming) - Dog park (if they’re dog friendly) - Walks around the block - Exercise/Playtime (bonus points if you have a fenced in backyard or tie out!) - Baking (dog friendly treats, of course!) - Enrichment activities (like hiding small treats inside or outside for them to sniff out and find) - Arts and crafts (I’ll put a canvas with paint inside a ziploc bag, seal it, and smear peanut butter or another dog friendly smearable snack on top for them to lick) Don’t have an active animal and just want them to have some company? That’s no problem too! I am completely fine with just chilling at home with your pet and keeping them company (I honestly prefer that… just hanging out and giving them some extra love and attention), or even just keeping an eye on them while you’re gone if your pet(s) are shy around new people!

Availability
I currently work full time however if you message me a week (sometimes 2) in advance, I should be able to adjust my work schedule around yours! Depending on your location and services needed, I should also be able to drop by for a few during my breaks. My off days (which change weekly) are entirely dedicated to you though! The best way to schedule with me is to shoot me a message for the date(s) you’re needing service(s) for (preferably in advance) and I will get back to you on if I can make it work.
