Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs my entire life, and I learned from a young age how much responsibility and hard work goes into caring for dogs. I grew up with large breed dogs as a kid (Chocolate Lab, German Shepherds, German Sheperd lab/mix), and I had a Boxer/Pit mix in my early 20's. I have helped many friends and family members take care of their dogs while they are away or on days when last-minute conflicts would arise. I currently have three large breed dogs, 2 of which are rescues. I treat my boy's as my fur babies because that is what they are. I always surprise my dogs with little things, like new cookies or toys. I take them on walks to explore and smell the smells. We go swimming, on car rides and play fetch whenever we can. I value and understand that they aren't just dogs; they are family. Our pets are just a part of our lives, and we are all of theirs.

Sammi is an extraordinary, kind, smart and loving person. She has been around dogs her entire life which results in her being quite educated on most breeds. I’d definitely say that she would much rather hangout with dogs than most humans. She has 3 dogs of her own, 2 of which are rescues so as you can tell, she has a huge heart for all dogs, especially those that need extra love and care. Due to all of the above, I believe sammi is a great fit for Rover.
Sammi was not only kind, gentle, and outgoing, but she also showed genuine love and affection towards our furry friend. sammi went above and beyond to ensure our dog's safety and happiness during their walks. Our pup always came back home with a wagging tail and a big smile on their face! 🐶❤️

Being a dog owner herself of multiple, she shows incredible care and attentiveness. She has a lot of experience with caring for rescued/adopted dogs. My job is to make life easier for you and your fur babies, so safety and trust are very important to me. Whether inside or outside with your pet(s), I will provide a safe environment for your pet, and look out for them as if they were my own. If your dog requires any special needs such as a separate feeding time from other household pets, medications, creams, etc, I am more than happy to accommodate that.

It is important that I am made aware of any special needs that your dog may require ahead of time so that I can provide them with the utmost care. In addition, safety and trust are imperative, and that is why I prefer to meet your fur babies, before coming to your home for the first time, so that your dog feels safe with me, and trust can be built between us.
A typical day
I love taking dogs/pups to explore new places and adventures. Sadly, we don't have our pets for very long, so providing their life with the best experiences and stimuli is very important to me. I love to go on small hikes, for walks around the neighborhood, and for walks by the water (if dogs are allowed). You can guarantee your pets will be well-exercised and living their best lives while I am watching them. ** I am comfortable taking large and Xl breed dogs on walks if they walk well on a leash and are well trained **

Availability
I am in my senior year of dental hygiene school and on break until the spring semester begins on 1/9/24. While on break, my schedule and weekly routine will be very flexible. I update and confirm my availability frequently. However, if you require an additional day that my availability does not confirm, please do not hesitate to message me; I will make myself available as often as possible, weekends included. My schedule currently does not show availability on weekends, and this is because my clinic rotations require some Saturdays, however, I will do my best to fit you and your fur babies into my schedule whenever I can.
