The PAW-fect care!
Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Sammi and I am a FUR-ever animal lover. I've been professionally taking care of furry best friends for over 3 years, however, I've always taken care of several special, whiskered companions my whole life. Not only have I provided care to domestic doggos, kitties, and small animal friends (such as rats, rabbits, and birds), I have experience with exotic cuties too! I have been working as a marine mammal trainer for the past few years with a sprinkle of dog sitting, walking, and being a dog boarding tech on the side! I'm always the go-to girl among my two-legged human friends to take care of their animal companions. I'm PAWsitive I am the right choice for you and your pup or kitty. We will have a ball!
Reviews
This is my 3rd time booking Sammi & there aren’t enough good things to say about her! She is simply amazing and you will feel so happy you booked her :) She leaves the best messages after each visit and you can tell she really cares for your pet when you’re not around. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!
I’m so happy I found Sammi on Rover! This was my 2nd time hiring her and she was just as amazing as the first. Her updates always put a smile on my face and I know my kitty is in safe and loving hands with her 🥰 I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!
Thank you Sammi! Toast adores you.
Sammi was such an amazing help watching our cat rosco! Gave us great updates and photos whenever we had asked her to stop in.

I have such a big heart and I make my drop-in visits and walks, warm, welcoming, fun, playful, and safe! I always carry a treat or two (don't worry, I make sure the furry friend isn't on a diet or has allergies). I love to make my visits with each animal variable and specialized to the pet's likes/personality. Each animal is different, from liking different flavors and snacks to cuddling on the couch vs. wanting to play fetch instead. I customize and adapt my care routine to fit their needs. One of my favorite activities to bring for your cute fido is a lick mat! I love to spread ingredients such as sweet potatoes (a great addition of fiber to their diet), bananas (high in potassium and a yummy, low-calorie snack), blueberries (antioxidant superstar), peanut butter, etc! Utilizing a lick mat provides great variability during my visits with your animals, and it promotes using their natural instincts such as sniffing and licking! It's a great calorie burner as well and helps lower anxiety levels. In addition to fun and variability levels, I think it is important to always implement safety as well. I ask questions such as, "Does your furry friend have a tendency to crowd the door?", "Do they have any sort of medical history that I need to be aware of and look for?" I am cautious and look out for any potential harm while on walks, paying attention to food that may be on the ground that your animal should not eat. Different types of wires, metal pieces, glass, etc, that the pet could accidentally step on/ingest. You can trust me to care for your animal as if it was my own fur baby!
Information Sammi A. would like to know about your pet
The more information and history I can learn about your pet, the better. I'd rather be cautious and safe than the alternative. It is important to know what behavioral history the dog has, for instance, if they have been dog aggressive in the past, don't do well with children or others touching them, etc. It is also important to know any special needs/instructions as well as dietary information. I have created my own sheet with these types of questions that I ask at every meet and greet to ensure the best care I can give to your cute furry family. *** Please note *** Due to keeping my own pets and current/future clients safe. I will not accept any pets that are currently diagnosed with zoonotic diseases (conditions that are contagious between animal to animal and animal to human) or with absolutely any parasites present/known such as fleas or tapeworms. Thank you!

I know variability is so important in an animal's life, so promoting actions that can be either physically or mentally stimulating, or both is what I value. I like to bring toys, treats, and all the loves I can give! As I mentioned above, I love bringing lick mats as an enrichment item for your pup! I think it's important to get their brains going and use their natural behaviors! Some other things I do to make things fun during my visits include; switching the route we take to walk in each day, bringing an empty egg carton and putting their favorite treats in it, utilizing their favorite toy, and bringing homemade treats (if approved by you)! The PAWsibilities are truly endless!
